Located in the heart of Queens County, Elmhurst has become the epicenter of diversity exposing residents and visitors to delicious foods, unique shopping, and varying cultural nuances. With a population of over 100,000, Elmhurst is composed of predominantly Asian inhabitants (47,000+ people, U.S. Census Bureau, 2010) making it the secondary chinatown, after Flushing. From Roosevelt Avenue on the north; the Long Island Expressway on the south; Junction Boulevard on the east; and the New York Connecting Railroad on the west, Elmhurst exhibits something different in every corner.
